Before you start
You are never asked for a truck. Everything below is about the freight.
- The phone with your WhatsApp number on it. That number is your account.
- An email address. Optional, and the only channel that reaches you when you are not in the app.
- Where it loads and where it goes, down to the town rather than the province.
- What the cargo actually is, its weight, and how it is packed.
- The date it must move, and the rate or the terms you are working to.
Step 1 — Sign up
Message Kweli on WhatsApp, or open lx.kweli.co.za. The form asks for your name, a username, your company (or tick that you work independently), and the country and city you are in. Your WhatsApp number arrives already filled in.

Step 2 — Post the load
Seven short screens, picked from lists rather than typed wherever possible.
- Route — where it loads and where it goes. Kweli resolves that to a corridor, so you never have to know which lane it is called.
- Cargo — what it is, what it weighs, how it is packed.
- Equipment — the truck type you need. This is one of the two things the exchange ranks on, so it decides which operators are shown your load first.
- Requirements — insurance and compliance, including goods-in-transit cover.
- Schedule — when it loads and when it must be there.
- Rate — what you are paying, and on what terms.
- Review — read it back and post it.
Cross-border freight adds one screen for the border payment structure — who pays what at the post. Settling it when the load is posted is what stops it becoming an argument after the truck has run.
Step 3 — What makes a load get answered
Who sees the load is decided by the truck type and the corridor. Whether anyone takes it is decided by what else you filled in.
An operator reading your load is working out one thing: can I run this and get paid without a surprise. Every blank you leave is a phone call they have to make before they can answer, and the operator with a truck standing empty today will answer the load that already told him.
The single biggest one: describe the cargo. “Goods” is not a cargo description. An operator cannot tell from it whether the load needs straps or a tarp, whether it is stackable, or whether it will fit. Say what it is.

Step 4 — Reviewing who applied
Applications land against the load. For each one you are looking at a truck, not a company brochure.

You will not find a badge saying Kweli has approved this operator. We do not certify anyone, and a green tick that means nothing is worse than no tick at all. What we do instead is show you what was provided, and what actually happened last time — then get out of the way. You are the judge. We give you the record to judge on.
It runs both ways. The operator sees the same kind of record about you — whether the load was there when you said it would be, whether payment landed on the terms that were agreed. That is why a shipper who pays as promised starts getting answered faster.
Step 5 — Run the job
Pick your operator and the deal moves on the platform: collection, delivery, and payment. Each step is recorded as it happens, against the terms in the load you posted. Nothing is decided by opinion — the comparison is against what the two of you agreed, and it becomes the record the next party sees.

What does it cost to post a load?

Do I need a truck to sign up as a shipper?
No. Shippers are never asked for a truck or a corridor. Those belong to the operator side. You give your details and post the freight.
How do I know an operator is genuine?
You read what their account actually contains — the truck, its registration, the lanes it runs, the documents on file, when they were last active — and you read how their previous deals went. Kweli does not vet anybody and does not pretend to. It shows you the record and you decide.
Can I post cross-border loads?
Yes, and the exchange is built for them. Cross-border freight adds a screen covering the border payment structure, and only operators with a valid cross-border permit and goods-in-transit insurance on file can apply.
Am I told when somebody applies?
Yes — on WhatsApp, and by email if you gave one. Give the email. Without it we can only reach you inside the app, and an operator with a truck free tomorrow does not wait.
